Meet Zeus – Our Charming Ruby Boy
Zeus is a gorgeous ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the most adorable white markings on his nose and chest, making him stand out as the little charmer of our Greek God Litter. Born on December 31, 2024, he’s the biggest of the three puppies, with a calm, easygoing personality and a love for exploring the world through his nose.
Zeus has shown a special interest in new scents during his Early Scent Introduction (ESI) training. Unlike his sister, Hera, who tends to turn away when something doesn’t smell like her mom, Zeus buries his nose right in and fully enjoys each new scent. He’s curious and engaged but also gentle and steady in his approach.
The puppies are nearing the end of their Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and ESI exercises, and they’ve just begun noise and music sensitivity training. They’re listening to classical music blended with real-world sounds like phones ringing, children laughing, babies crying, and sirens to help them adjust to different environments.
At two weeks old, Zeus is gaining weight steadily and is expected to be on the smaller side for Cavaliers. His mom, Scarlet, weighs 10 pounds, and his dad, Max, is 15 pounds. Both parents have extensive health testing, with all results available upon request.
We’ve kept the whelping box dark to help the puppies adjust, but now that their eyes are open, we’re gradually introducing them to sunlight. As the biggest puppy in the litter, Zeus enjoys snuggling with his siblings and his mom, Scarlet, who is raising her pups to be affectionate and loving companions.
Zeus will have his temperament test on February 22, followed by a vet appointment the next week. He will be ready to join his forever family around February 28 and will come with:
